THONOTOSASSA (Fla.) – Two people were shot during a Thonotosassa party. Deputies confirmed that one of the victims had since died.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office received numerous 911 calls Tuesday morning reporting the shooting at a residence in the 9000 block of Harney Road. They found one victim, a male, with a gunshot wound when they arrived. He was taken to the hospital and is expected to be fine.
A female victim was also found at 11511 U. S. Highway 301. She was also taken into hospital, but she died of her injuries.
Deputies believe that an argument occurred at the party, and that the shooting took place. At this point, it is unknown if the victims and suspect knew each other. Officials have not said whether the suspect has been detained.
Deputies are interviewing several teenagers at a station. One of the pumps is occupied by a white car with a bullet hole. This vehicle could also be linked to the shooting.
The shooting occurred on September 15, 2012. Deputies are still looking into the circumstances and have not yet identified the victims nor their ages.
